Sometimes to find the way forward it’s easier to read up on what-not-to-do rather than pouring over endless lists of ‘How to’s’, ‘You should’s’ and Guides that tell you how to ‘Stop Procrastinating’ ‘Get Motivated’.
So here it is – the list that defines the Quickest way to Fail at Anything. If you want to achieve, succeed or accomplish ‘anything’ then, I assure you, this list isn’t for you!
- Never keep your eye on the ball or on anything else that’s going on around you
- Always expect you’ll fail at anything you do
- Never ask for help of any kind
- Always leave important things until the very last minute
- Never entertain the thought that you have any talents
- Always complain that everyone else is better off than you are
- Never consider that any bad luck could have been brought on by you and you alone
- Always feel sorry for yourself, your circumstances and your constant state of lack in your life
- Never ever believe in yourself
- Always remain pessimistic – the glass is Always half empty
- Never consider that you can shape your own destiny
- Always dwell on the past and your past failures
- Never expect that tomorrow could be any better for any reason
- Always choose to ignore good advice
- Never eat the right foods, exercise or maintain a healthy lifestyle
- Always waste your time watching TV & DVDs, Playing Video Games and Drinking Alcohol
- Never listen to your inner voice or your own conscience
- Always keep in mind that other people are ‘lucky’ and you are always ‘unlucky’
- Never learn from your mistakes
- Always shun responsibility
- Never Plan ahead for anything
- Always use your favourite phrases such as ‘Could have’, ‘Would have’, ‘Should have’
- Never try again once you have tried the first time
- Always expect the world to make exceptions for you
- Never have any ambitions or goals
- Always let new opportunities pass you by
- Never be fooled by the saying ‘The more you do of what you do the more you get of what you’ve got’
- Always allow the uninformed negative opinions of others to cloud your judgement
- Never be fooled into thinking that you can change your circumstances by changing your thoughts
- Always expect to get something for nothing
